Bright colours and braided leather
Everything that requires any responsibility just ended in my life, i.e. school. So when a good ol’ holiday like today rolls around, it feels slightly under-appreciated. Despite not having said responsibilities, I can’t help but feel a little anxious that I should be doing something, when in reality I’m doing nothing. So, what does one do when one has nothing to do? Oh, the games of life. After much thought, I decided to take this time to try out my weekly thrift find – a braided leather belt.
At this point, I think it’s fair to say that I know my way around a thrift store – the spots with the good shit, bad shit, no shit, you name it. So when I hit the belt section I was pleased to find this braided beauty welcoming me. A belt such as this one has been on my ‘I need this right now’ list for quite some time. Personally, I think buying belts second-hand is a much better option, especially when going with ones of the leather kind. They come broken in and soft, ready for you to have your way with them. I know. Anyhow, think twice about buying a brand new spanker before hitting your local hand-me-down boutique, ya neva know.
Put that braided leather belt with a little mint green polo yellow sock combination and you’ve got yourself a look that is forced to say ‘where the fuck is the Spring?’ given the recent streak of weather. As you can see from the bottom left picture featured above, I felt especially golf-like in this ensemble and preceded to express my feelings through an interpretive dance of sorts.
